Ray Benedetto

Mr. Ray L. Benedetto is an executive change leader with demonstrated excellence in a variety of disciplines: leadership, strategic development, change and merger management, and customer-focused, continuous quality improvement. He has over 30 years experience in various aspects of leadership and management in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Benedetto completed a distinguished military career in 1996 with the rank of Colonel. He served in numerous leadership and staff assignments with the United States Air Force and the Department of Defense (DoD). Mr. Benedetto's expertise and inside reputation as an effective change leader placed him in many challenging assignments, including the post-Cold War restructuring of the military services and the transformation of the Military Health Services System. His receipt of the Department of Defense Superior Service Medal upon his military retirement reflected his significant contributions to this effort. Mr. Benedetto has continued his work in organizational transformation in civilian life, leading corporate transformation efforts inside four medium-to-large sized companies. In late 2005 Mr. Benedetto transitioned from part-time to full-time consulting work, focusing on the needs of small to mid-sized business owners and leaders who are concerned with organizational effectiveness and strong profitability.

Mr. Benedetto has been board certified in Healthcare Management since 1981 and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He holds degrees from Penn State (BS) and the University of Southern California (MS) and is presently pursuing his doctorate in Organizational Leadership through the University of Phoenix. He also completed executive courses at George Washington University and various professional military schools, including the Air War College. His leadership and contributions to healthcare have been recognized by several awards from ACHE and Penn State, which he served in several capacities including guest lecturer (1989-1996). Mr. Benedetto presently holds a practitioner-faculty position with the University of Phoenix MBA Program.
